FREE Hot Dogs in Hillsboro to Celebrate National Salvation Army Week

Free
hot dogs to celebrate National Salv(Portland, OR) May 15, 2012 - Get your hot dogs! In celebration of the spirit of National Salvation Army Week (May 14-20), the Tualatin Valley Citadel, a Corps of The Salvation Army, will be handing out hot dogs to the community tomorrow, May 16th, 2012 from 11am - 1pm at their Corps, located at 351 SE Oak St., Hillsboro, OR  97123.  The hot dogs are FREE to everyone who comes.  This is to say "thank you!" to those who have been a part of the ministry of The Salvation Army in Washington County.

National Salvation Army Week, first named in 1954 by Dwight D. Eisenhower, is a time to celebrate volunteers, donors, and program beneficiaries who have made the incredible work of The Salvation Army possible.  On average, there are 8,000 people "Doing the Most Good" every day across the United States!

You can celebrate, too, by "Doing the Most Good" in your community. Take the challenge: volunteer, hand out goodies, open the door for someone, smile at a stranger, buy the meal for the person at the table next to you, etc.; the possibilities are endless for you to "Do the Most Good."
